Sharon Giltrow was born the youngest of eight children and grew up on Yorke Peninsula in South Australia surrounded by pet sheep, sandy beaches and fields of barley. She now lives in Perth, Western Australia with her husband, two children, a tom cat and a miniature dog. Having worked with children for all of her career, she has been a teacher of children who are hearing impaired and Deaf-Blind, and is now an Early Childhood Educator and Teacher Education Support working with Young Children with Developmental Language Disorder.

Katrin Dreiling was born and raised in Germany, but moved to Queensland, Australia with her husband and three children. She creates quirky illustrations that feature different media. Katrin’s picture book “The World’s Worst Pirate”, written by Michelle Worthington, has been awarded ‘Notable Book 2018’ by the CBCA and was shortlisted for several other awards. Katrin also teaches art to children and conducts illustration workshops for both adults and children.
